Ok, I am in some butt- nowhere town called “Alpha”. Everything here closes at 7, exept for this “cafe” (VERY loose use of the word) that we are currently in.
We have ordered some pizza’s and they are taking 20 minutes, so Ben had a smoke and that only took two minutes, so we checked the back of the van – full of dust – but all ok… so we came back inside… OH MY GOD – an internet Kiosk!
It is a “WebPoint” Kiosk, nice shiney covered in some crap somebody spilt on it – but I can get over that – it’s the internet!
Now, the problems. This thing doesn’t support SSL, strange port numbers, ActiveX anything – so I can’t ACTUALLY do anything – except rant about it in my blog, which appears to work.
WebPoint can be contacted on 1800 150 501 – should you wish to call them and tell them how their product is – please feel free. Over the next couple of weeks, I am going to call them using different voices and complain every chance I get.
I think our “Pizza’s” are ready in the “Cafe” now so I am going to go… and I am almost out of time.
