You can’t really see it because my camera phone is crap – but that whole face of the building is a screen. It is amazing – this particular street corner is so noisy. On every corner there is a screen of some kind – each pumping out it’s own noise to match the video.

so, today i have to find stuff by myself.

So, I made it I guess – I am finally in Japan. It was a little bit of an ordeal and I am sure I will whinge about it for ages to come.
My first regret is not just bringing one change of clothes. Man, carting a 20kg “carry on”, a camera bag, a 30kg bag and a 20kg bag around Tokyo is just stupid. Thank goodness my Aunty came to my aid.
I was met at the airport, and then we went via train to my cousin’s place (see photo above – that is my room).
I still have to get my gaijin card, open a bank account, find a job, find a place to live – and all the rest… should be great.
