Just an absolutely amazing place, Franklin Villa should really be at the top of your list when you are looking for somewhere to stay in Brisbane. Located in Highgate Hill, directly adjacent to the Brisbane Arts Precinct – it is central to everything. Only a couple of seconds walk and you are on West End’s Boundary Street with some fantastically eclectic restaurants and cafe’s.
Built in 1888 and home initially to Thomas Greiner and during World War II was sequestered as an officers residence for the American Army. Now owned by Nick Proctor and Bernadette Bagley the home has been restored and is a breathtaking look into our history.
In my opinion the house is perfectly suited to touring performance groups, but is also an ideal get away if you need a break. Pricing and more details are located on their site.
